On February 27, 2025, a Stakeholders’ Consultation was held in Gaibandha Municipality as part of the project Rising for Rights for Strengthening Civil Society Networks in South Asia to Achieve SDG 6. The session, organized by SKS Foundation, focused on Citywide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) and safely managed sanitation, aligning with SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation).
The consultation brought together local government officials, development partners, academia, and community representatives, fostering meaningful discussions on improving sanitation services.
Prof. Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, Director of CSIRS, delivered an insightful presentation covering:
- The sanitation status of Gaibandha Municipality and Muktinagar Union
- CWIS Action Plans developed under this project
- The roles of LGIs, NGOs, and communities in achieving CWIS
This event marked an important step toward ensuring safe, inclusive, and sustainable sanitation for all.
