The National Strategy for Water and Sanitation in Hard-to-Reach Areas of Bangladesh, first published in 2012, has served as a guiding framework for improving services in underserved regions. Recognizing the need to align the strategy with current national priorities and address emerging challenges, the Government of Bangladesh has initiated a process to revise and update the document. The initiative is being carried out by WaterAid Bangladesh and Participatory Management Initiative for Development (PMID) in association with CSIRS-UIU. Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, Professor of Civil Engineering Department at UIU & Director of CSIRS-UIU is working as the team leader under WaterAid Bangladesh.
